Them showers are definitely moving east but I think they may be rainy/sleet...

Temp 0.8c so maybe a chance.

Heavy Rain/ Sleet starting to seriously effect snow cover, without this tonight, a white cover until Christmas was likely, now not even likely until tomorrow.,

Hopefully it can cling to dear life.

Still 2 inches or so here so a good chance of a damp slushy Christmas.

There are still likely to bits of snow left, and the snow brushed off paths etc. should still last a few days, but the 4 day covering is coming to an end.

Well the temp is rising here now at 2.1C so no too happy about that, but nothing i can do about it really :whistling: Just gotta hope for the best! Any showers will most likely fall as just rain here now, although im not sure we will get any, if the showers are of rain then i'd rather not have any.

You've had clear skies? Thick low cloud here all evening.

Temp up at 2.4C and light rain falling now, i think all the ice could be gone by the morning if it keeps raining! :)

Around 2cm this afternoon in West Newport, followed by a slight thaw. We've had clear skies for a good two hours though, all the remaining snow frozen over completely. Still see the moon though, can we expect any rain/sleet or snow here? I would prefer nothing if it's rain/sleet. whistling.gif

Got 2 inches of snow now,dry now at 0.1c with fog and a light east wind.

Looks like theres more snow coming on the radar heading this way from the SW,from this very small low.

There were some tiny crystals a short while ago, should get freezing fog aswell 1.5c colder higher up east wind does that here.

Upper air about -3/-4c for the next 2 days.

Just been to Llandudno. Snowing heavy, all roads covered ( no gritters anywhere) Went to sleet for 5 minutes and now back to big flakes, falling heavy and roads covering again. Think its heading west , poss towards Anglesey direction.

Still plenty of snow up here, despite the heavy sleet earlier, most of the snow cover has remained.

We have also just had another heavy sleet shower in the past 30 mins.

I know how you feel.

Lets be honest, there is very little left , its time to accept it ,we have lost out to the south westerly.

Lets pause for a few minutes , remember the good times , then move on.

We should all chip in together and build Tycoch hill up by 1000ft or so, i have a spare bag of sand and a few broken plant pots in the garage so thats a start.

Let go........

Raining quite heavily now. Ah well.

Close the curtain so you cant see the lampost as its getting ugly out there.

We are 95% back to good old muddy green here is costa swansea.

Roll on part 2.
