I wasnt expecting this much so early on either, thought it would be bits and pieces until this afternoon

Me neither! Is this a long shower or is this the trough action that was meant to show up later?

Morning all, got down to -9.9 here last night.

Going to try and upload some photo's later from my friends camera once he's out of bed! Got one of an uprooted tree(not a massive tree) which happened just before we got there and some good pics of large branches that have come down.

Wonder if we'll be in the firing line again today, not sure how much more we can take!

Well its slowed down now here, just bits blowing around in the air, seems to be a break in the showers heading our way at the moment. Like Steve just said, it seems to of expanded when it hit the esturay

Amazing shower this Steve

Had 3cm in 45 Minutes so your estimates are pretty good Mate!

Really chunky flakes and visibility at times is almost non existant!

Much more Snow filling in behind this atm

Not going into work now, and expect the kids will be sent home at Lunch time

Dandruff PPN is back in South Woodham... very welcome, would like to keep the cloud cover for as much of the day as possible.

Earlier show which included 7 minutes moderate PPN didn't pull up any trees - gave about 0.5cm. This one won't add anything. Idea of 3-5 cm purported by some for this region way OTT. My suggestion of 1cm (three at the Eastern tip of Shoeburyness) looks favourite.

Looks like places just to my east copped the worst of that shower but it did just give a decent whack here as well, rather surprised to be honest as others have said it seems to have come through a little earlier then expected.

Morning Paul. Amazing scenes huh! Although seems to be slowing now.

This is reminiscent of the old skool Thames Streamers (He says quietly) :)

Your kids in school as well? Fully expecting a lunch-time closure...

Is this the trough? Or just a heavy prolonged shower?

Snowing very heavily for the past 15 minutes or so in Rochester - probably a cm or two already (on top of yesterday evenings snow). Top of Bluebell Hill, so expect it will hit Maidstone too in the near future!

Is this it now or is this supposed to get worse because if not then once again somewhere in "the firing line" and prime location is going to get nothing, looking at the radar there doesn't seem to be anything other than a few patters here and there
