If the showers can keep their intensity, it's looking damn good here :yahoo: , currently light snow with a temp of -1.8 & -3.4 DP.

I think were too far west mate and will see moderate snow at best.Hope im wrong though.

I reckon this will intensify there is some wind sheer on this as the lower wind direction has gone more NW now :yahoo:

Been chucking it down for a while now. The roads are now covered in the town centre. Just advised a colleague to head home to Whitby early given the amount still to come in. Hope he makes it :lol:

Snow showers will continue to feed in from the North Sea and become heavy at times with further accumulations of 2 to 5 cm and locally up to 10 cm.

The public are advised to take extra care and refer to the Highways Agency for further advice regarding traffic disruption on motorways and trunk roads.

When are the winds expecting to start coming from the east?

Soon after this current band leaves our region it would seem a ENE will develop. Looking at the SAT24.com Europe radar, how cold is this Westerly influence rattling its was through centre Europe?
