looks that tthe few people those that where brave enough to make a prediction got it wrong one way or another storms are much further north Paul S was closest,

even metO and BBC got it wrong but still enough time for the south especialy with the very warm sunshine putting in a late apearance 21c in my garden so with the moisture on the ground perhaps convective storms will get going before the evening cool off

still not writing off somthing overnite but iff there is i probably sleep through it.

update looked outside before posting a couple of anvils forming to south south west

Apart from a haevy shower this morning its been a no show seen some beefy showers in the distance but

nothing direct but hey-ho!!

Still plenty of energy around even by midnight,so these storms should last a fair while.

The storm over Crook and Bishop Auckland just missed to our West. I have a few spots of rain and a bit of thunder.

If the band further South continue their progression then there might be some action here later. But I think that's wishful thinking to be honest.

hearing my 1st rumbles of thunder this year very windy to and just started raining

It's just gone as black as night outside with rain now falling!!! Could this be Apocalyptic Megastorm 2?

the wind was quite impressive as this storm approached....still very heavy rain here.....lightning not that regular

seems to be intensifying as it heads north

How's this for a bit of bad luck......the post code selected on the radar grab is my home village..

radar grab 1) moderate shower forming just to the south of Penkridge giving a 5 minute sprinkle...

radar grab 2) A few minutes later and the shower has developed into a thunderstorm, with sferics detected on several detectors..

You have to laugh....either that or gouge out your eyeballs with a crow bar....lol
