hearing my 1st rumbles of thunder this year :( very windy to and just started raining

it's slowly getting closer to my area, but it's doubtful if it will make it.

The storm over Crook and Bishop Auckland just missed to our West. I have a few spots of rain and a bit of thunder.

If the band further South continue their progression then there might be some action here later. But I think that's wishful thinking to be honest.

That band just south of york should be here in a couple of hours.

Just heard louder rumble of thunder here from the current band!

Raining heavy here, but no Thunder and Lightning as yet. I'm quite suprised after all that heat earlier!

monsoon like weather here now lol.

I can see that lot to my west, there is a faint flash of lightning every couple of minutes now.

I have still got hope for those bands further south, maybe around 21:00 if they don't fizzle out?

The current band has developed and extended over Durham now but it's no where nhear as intense. Just modertae rain and no thunder.

Fingers crossed for the second band tonight.

Cracking storm been going on here since 6 o clock. Heavy rain frequent cc lightning and in the last few mms a few cg strikes too. Very very heavy rain at the moment.

Fierce sky to the west, most actively convective sky of the year so far.

For the past half hour Warrington had constant rolling thunder rather than individual cracks, very little lightning to be seen, mostly CC. Shower band was moving south-north but now slightly more towards northeast so may hit west Manchester before long.
