There is agreement from ECM, UKMO & GFS 12Z of colder conditions from the 25th March :cold:

Lovely day today, might even cut the grass tomorrow.

Meto not forecasting cold for us as yet though the 25th is the closest we have come to any cold since Nov / Dec but it's still 6 days away.

Rain is on the way. It was such a lovely sunny day. It will be interesting to see if ECM, UKMO & GFS keep up the 25th March colder trend going.

ensembles look a bit warmer

high pressure in charge in charge next week

so warmish if cloud clears and pretty cold

nights with frost

after that there has been hints of colder weather sppearing again

but we need to see it show up within reliable time on the models

http://www.meteociel.fr/ukmo/fax/fax120.gif

high pressure again yawn

however look to the north to see how close the 528 line is to the uk

also the 510 dam line is not far behind

well done to Yamkin on having a thread named after him :drunk:

only today and tomorrow left fellow south easteners :cray:

lets see if we can find some charts of interest (down to you yamkin)

Well, i've barely been on here since the end of December. What a start to winter we had, incredible really. It made the mild dross 2nd 2/3rds of winter more bearable, since we all had a good dose of cold and snow.

To be honest, we are approaching April now, and I am looking forward to warmer, sunny weather. For me it's all about looking forward to summer now and hoping for it to be a hot one!

This week should be really nice and quite mild, looking forward to it. Any cold, snowy weather now just isn't worth it in my opinion. The days are much longer, the sun is stronger, so any snow in southern, lowland Britain will be transient and temporary. Pointless. Roll on summer!

Quite Agree, looking forward to storm watching now, looks like there is a blast of cold air not far away from our shores pretty close but this time of year will it come to anything if it got here??

remember 2008. so not that long ago

the charts however show mildish days

chilly at night and dry to the 26th then scatter again

look around 144

http://www.meteociel.fr/modeles/nogapse_cartes.php?ech=6&code=0&mode=1&carte=0&archive=0

all look like cold air around 26th

one thing about these charts is there is no real warmth being picked

up yet although

http://91.121.84.31/modeles/gfs/archives/gfs-2011032018-0-72.png

wednesday could be fairly warm and dry and hit around 15 degrees

if cloud stays away

http://www.meteociel.fr/ukmo/fax/fax120s.gif

high pressure heads to west

note the 528 dam air with the 510 dam air moving in towards us

from the north east.Tomorrow nights fax could be interesting

ensembles to follow

everything much further south and west on the 06z from the 00z

has yamkin hacked the gfs models????

a shock to the system from the 26th if these are right

i reckon this could be a cold outlier on the ensembles

Careful John or this will become the John Thread ;-)

As for the weather, yes maybe colder but little chance of any snow I fear.
