Fine for much of Europe, but rain and stronger winds to the north

Monday

Fine and dry across Britain into northern France, Belgium and Holland today. Just a few showers across Denmark. Heavy snow showers are forecast across western Norway with heavy snow forecast across Finland. Milder across Russia today with rain while rain and snow is expected across the Baltic States into the north of Poland. Most of Poland will see rain today with rain also across southern France into Austria while snow falls across the Alps. Mostly sunny but cold across Sweden. Just a few showers may affect the Balearics today with a dry, sunny day across Portugal, Spain, Italy and across into Greece, the former Yugoslavia, Turkey into Romania.

Tuesday

A fair day through Portugal with plenty of sunshine. Mainly dry in Spain with some sunshine too, although a stuff east wind making it feel chilly in the east. Fine through France with lots of spring sunshine here, and mainly fine across the Low Countries too. Some cloud for northern Germany, but for most of the country it should be dry. Some broken cloud in northern Italy but mainly dry here with sunny spells. The best Italian sunshine over the south of the country where it should be dry too. More sunshine through Greece and Turkey today with dry weather throughout. A more unsettled westerly flow through more northern areas with periods of rain through Denmark and the Baltic States. Showers for Finland where it will be cold too. Dry for most of Sweden, and mainly dry in Norway too.

Very Windy for Southern France, Dry across the Mediterranean

Today

A good deal of fine, dry weather with sunny spells is expected from the United Kingdom down across France, Belgium, Holland, into Denmark and Germany. Outbreaks of rain are expected to affect the northern half of Spain today with the southern half along with Portugal fair and dry. Some rain to into the Balearics. Some light rain and snow will affect western parts of Norway today, but for eastern parts of Norway across into Sweden it will be fair and dry with some sunshine. Mainly dry across Finland today but rather cloudy with outbreaks of rain across the Baltic States, down through, Belarus, eastern Poland into the Ukraine. Western parts of Poland should be dry with some sunshine and this extends down across Hungary, into Austria and Switzerland. Colder across Russia today with outbreaks of snow. Dry with lots of sunshine expected across the Balkans today. Italy will be the warmest area today with a lot of dry, sunny weather. Quite a windy day across the south of France down into Corsica and Sardinia.

Thursday

Today an area of rain and showers will affect the western half of France. A better day to come across Iberia with lots of dry, sunny weather from Portugal and Spain. Dry as well with sunny spells across Britain, into the eastern parts of France, through the Low Countries and across into Germany and Denmark. Most of Norway and Sweden looks fair and dry today with a few sunny spells and a good deal of cloud. A band of snow will lie from northern Finland down through the north western parts of Russia with outbreaks of rain across southern Finland down through the Baltic States, Belarus and the Ukraine. The weather remains fair and dry with sunny spells for Romania, the former Yugoslavia, the Czech Republic, Greece and Turkey. A fine day across all the Mediterranean today with good sunny spells across Italy. Continued dry across the Alps, through Switzerland and Austria. Quite windy conditions will prevail across the Black Sea area down through the Aegean Sea then south of Sicily and then up through southern parts of France where winds may touch gale force.

Today

Very windy with gales through the Straits of Gibraltar today. A large part of mainland Europe is going to be settled and dry today with sunny spells. So from Spain across most of France into the Low Countries, Germany, Poland across into the Baltic States and Belarus. It will be dry with sunny spells. There is a risk of some scattered showers across south eastern parts of France today. For Norway, Sweden and Denmark. The weather is set to be fair and dry with sunny intervals, while some light snow is expected to fall from eastern parts of Finland and becomes heavier down through western parts of Russia. Continued fine across the Ukraine, Romania, the former Yugoslavia and Czech Republic. One or two showers are possible around the western coasts of Greece, otherwise dry here with sunny spells and dry as well across most Turkey. Another fine day to come across Italy.

Saturday

More fine, dry, mild, and mostly sunny weather will extend across France, Belgium, Holland, Denmark and across the United Kingdom today. Austria and Hungary, together with Switzerland will be dry with sunny spells. Northern and central Italy are dry with more sunshine here, although turning showery to the south. A cool day but with lots of sunshine over Greece. Fair for Turkey, but some rain in the far north. Some showery rain in Bulgaria and Romania. Fine and sunny for most of Europe, turning colder to the north and east

Wednesday

Easterly gales with gusts to 60 mph will be selling through the Straits of Gibraltar today. Brisk north west winds will also prevail down through the Adriatic Sea and the Aegean Sea. The weather is set to remain very mild, settled, and mostly sunny from Spain across France, up through central parts of Europe to Poland. Fine as well across the Low Countries, into Denmark and southern portions of Sweden and western Finland with snow clearing eastern Finland in the morning. Mainly dry across Norway today, although some rain will affect western coasts. An area of snow will again lie across the western parts of Russia, down across the Ukraine. Most of the Balkans looks dry today with sunny spells, though some rain and snow mixed may affect the far north of Turkey today. Lots of fine sunshine will extend from Greece across through into Italy, Sardinia and Corsica.

Thursday

High pressure will be centred to the west of Ireland through today. This brings plenty of sunshine through the UK and Ireland, although through France and most of Spain and Portugal. Very windy today across the eastern parts of Europe and Scandinavia. Outbreaks of snow are forecast from northern parts of Germany into northern parts of Poland, southern parts of Norway and Finland in across the Baltic States into Russia. The snow looks heavy in places. Rain is forecast for southern parts of Germany, Austria, southern Poland, and across, Belarus into the Ukraine. Rain and snow showers are expected across Romania, but chiefly dry across Hungary, the Czech Republic, the former Yugoslavia and Bulgaria. Fine and dry with good sunny spells today across Greece, and western parts of Turkey, while rain and snow is expected across eastern Turkey. Expect a dry day with sunny spells across much of Italy and across into Corsica and Sardinia to the Balearics. The far south of Spain and Portugal will see a good deal of cloud with some scattered showers while the rest of Iberia will be fair and dry. More heavy showers through Greece, although Turkey should be largely dry with sunny spells. Dry for Bulgaria and Romania with some sunny spells to come here. A fair day across the Baltic States with sunny spells here. There will be sunny spells for Finland and it should be dry. Remaining dry through Sweden and Denmark with plenty of sunshine, although some cloud and rain affecting the western coasts of Norway.

Low pressure is the dominating feature of the weather across much of Europe today. This will be bringing cloud and some strong winds through southern France and much of Italy. Further rain affecting the north of Greece, Bulgaria and Romania, but most of Turkey, Cyprus and Crete should be dry. Through the Balearics and Spain conditions should be brighter for most with sunny spells, although some showers will affect western Portugal and the north of Spain. France will have some cloud and drizzle in the north of the country, but the west should fair better, A ridge of high pressure brings sunshine to Germany and Poland as well as the Low Countries. Today

Cloudy with patchy outbreaks of rain and drizzle across the United Kingdom, and this extends into northern parts of France into western parts of the Low Countries. Most of Holland, Denmark and eastern Belgium should be fair and dry today. Cold but dry with long spells of unbroken sunshine across Norway, Sweden and Finland. Outbreaks of snow will affect northern Russia, and this extends across the Baltic states where it becomes heavy. Cold too across Poland and Germany with some heavy snow showers. Austria could see a spell of heavy snow today and this extends down across the Czech Republic. Expect a mix of rain, sleet and snow across the former Yugoslavia. Outbreaks of rain are expected from Belarus down through the Ukraine into Romania. Plenty of heavy showers, some heavy will affect Italy across the Adriatic into Greece, while lots of sunshine is expected across Turkey, though eastern areas will see a few showers. Quite windy today from southern parts of France down through central and eastern Mediterranean. Central and southern France along with Balearics, Spain and Portugal will be dry today with lots of sunshine.

Monday
