Today

Warm with sunny spells across most of Britain today. Fine across western and southern parts of France but expect some rain in the east. Continued very warm long spells of unbroken sunshine across Portugal and Spain and across to the Balearics. Heavy spells of thundery rain are expected across southern parts of Italy today with showers in the north. Western parts of Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic, the former Yugoslavia and Greece will also see some heavy showers. Eastern Turkey will have some showers but the west will be dry and sunny. Heavy showers are also in the forecast for the Ukraine with a few across Romania, Bulgaria, most of eastern Germany, Poland, Belarus, the Baltic States and Russia will be fine, dry and very warm. Long sunny spells will prevail from Finland across into Sweden, Norway into Denmark. There is a risk of some heavy showers across Belgium and Holland today.

Thursday

High pressure across north eastern parts of Europe will give all of Scandinavia, Russia, the Baltic States, Belarus, most of Poland and most of Germany a settled, dry and sunny day but rather windy in the east. It should also be dry across the Low Countries into Denmark with sunny spells.

Fine throughout the Mediterranean

Today

Becoming warmer across Iberia and western parts of Europe today. Continued warm and mostly sunny across England today and this extends down across western and southern parts of France. Eastern parts of France will see some heavy showers, these heavy showers will become more numerous across Switzerland, Austria and across into the Czech Republic the former Yugoslavia, the Ukraine, Hungary, Romania and down into Greece and western parts of Turkey. The showers may also be accompanied by thunder and lightning. Mostly sunny across eastern parts of Turkey today. High pressure across north eastern parts of Europe will give all of Scandinavia, Russia, the Baltic States, Belarus, most of Poland and most of Germany a settled, dry and sunny day but rather windy in the east. It should also be dry across the Low Countries into Denmark with sunny spells.

Friday

Western parts of Europe will be settled and dry with plenty of warm, summery sunshine. So dry and sunny from Spain up through France into England and across into Belgium, Holland, Denmark and Germany. It becomes a bit cooler but it remains dry and sunny across Austria, Poland, the Baltic States, Belarus, and up through Russia and Finland. Quite windy still. Southern parts of Norway will be dry with long sunny spells but there is a risk of showers across northern Norway and these extend across Sweden, but also will be interspersed with some sunny intervals. Heavy showers with scattered thunderstorms are forecast across the Alps and across southern parts of Italy and eastward across the Czech Republic, the former Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, Greece and much of Turkey. Most of Romania, and western parts of the Ukraine will be dry with sunny spells with heavy rain across eastern parts of the Ukraine.

Showers in the south, but fine to the north

Saturday

A showery day through northwest Portugal and the north of Spain where some of the showers could be heavy and thundery at times. There will be further showers affecting the west of France too. Southern and eastern Spain should be hot, although an odd thunderstorm may form here later. Much of France, away from the west coast, will be sunny and warm. It should be warm and sunny across the Low Countries and Germany too, with more sunshine and dry weather in Poland and Hungary. The chance of a shower forming in parts of Austria and Switzerland. Northern Italy is at risk from catching a shower too, but for the majority of the country the day should be dry with plenty of sunshine. High pressure brings more sunshine in Greece today, with lots of fine and warm west in southern Turkey. Northern Greece and northern Turkey seeing heavy showers.

Sunday

Best sunshine through southern parts of Europe, with colder weather in Scandinavia by Monday

Sunday

A hot day across Portugal and Spain today. There will be some heavy showers affecting western France, and the chance of some thundery showers for the southern parts of France too. The Low Countries should be dry, whilst some heavier showers affect northern Germany. Austria and Hungary as well as Switzerland will be dry with sunny spells. A risk of some hefty showers for Italy and Greece as well as for Turkey. Drier weather for Bulgaria and Romania with some sunny spells. Fine weather across Sweden and Norway with lots of sunshine expected here. A few showers in the Baltic States and Finland, one or two of them heavy at times.

Monday

Another hot day through Iberia on Monday. There will be plenty of sunshine around. France is going to be staying hot and sunny too, and this fine weather will be extending through trhe Low Countries and into Germany and Poland. An odd shower could break out over the high ground of Austria and Switzerland as well as Hungary later. For Italy the day is going to be dry with plemnty of sunshine, and it should be staying warm and sunny through Greece as well. A few showers may affect Bulgaria and Romania and these may be heavy at times. More unsettled conditions to the north with some rain moving south through Finland and Sweden. It could be cooler across the Baltic States and southern Sweden. Some rain affecting southern Norway with strong winds here, but showers and cooler weather following.

Warm and Dry across the Mediterranean

Today

Scattered showers are expected to develop across England and western parts of France. Eastern parts of France, mostly sunny and dry. Fair and dry with sunny spells as well across Belgium and Holland through northern Germany, but a few heavy showers may affect southern Germany and Denmark. Few showers are also in the forecast for Norway, Sweden and Finland along with good sunny spells. Dry, mostly sunny across the Baltic region, but Russia, Belarus, the Ukraine, and Hungary can expect frequent, and heavy showers, possibly with thunder. Expect a few widely scattered showers around Greece and Turkey as well and also through Italy. Mostly sunny and dry across former Yugoslavia with a few sharp showers across the Czech Republic and Austria. More cloud across Spain and Portugal today, but there will be sunny spells and it will be quite hot. Strong easterly wind will develop through the Straits of Gibraltar.

Today the warmest weather will be across western parts of Europe today with the east but cooler. Strong easterly winds again will be blowing through the Straits of Gibraltar and along the north coast of Spain. A number of showers will affect parts of England and the northern half of France and across into Belgium, Holland, Germany and up into Sweden and Poland. Some of these will be heavy in places. Fine, sunny and hot across Portugal and Spain through southern France. Fine and sunny as well across the Balearics, through, Corsica and Sardinia with sunny spells and a few heavy possibly thundery showers across Italy into the Czech Republic, Austria and Romania. Mainly dry and sunny across most of Greece today with just a few scattered showers developing in the afternoon across parts of Turkey. Heavy thunderstorms will develop over the Alps today. Expect sunny spells. Lots of dry weather across the former Yugoslavia. Cold across northern parts of Norway with heavy snow showers with the south fine and dry. A fine day with lots of sunshine through Spain and Portugal. Fine through much of France too, although there will be some cloud and outbreaks of rain to the far north. An area of rain will stretch from England across north western parts of France. Just a few showers across central parts of France, otherwise dry with sunny spells. Hot with long sunny spells today across Spain and Portugal with sunny spells and dry conditions extending eastward across the Balearics into Sardinia, Corsica and most of Italy. Frequent, and heavy showers with the risk of thunder are forecast for most of Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Holland and Germany. Mainly dry across Belgium today with variable cloud and sunny spells. Most of Finland will be dry except for showers in the north. Dry as well across the Baltic states and most of Russia, but heavy showers and outbreaks of rain are forecast for Belarus, Poland, western parts of the Ukraine, Austria and the Czech Republic. Tuesday

A more unsettled and cool day across France with rain and showers pushing south through the country. Cloud and some rain across the Low Countries, Germany and Poland. While the south of France looks dry and sunny but very windy, rain is expected across the United Kingdom, into northern parts of France with heavy showers across central France. Heavy rain to come across Switzerland and southern parts of Germany with frequent, heavy showers expected across Belgium, Holland, the rest of Germany, Poland and Austria. Heavy, thundery showers are also in the forecast for the Czech Republic, parts of northern Italy and through the western Ukraine into most of Russia and northern Finland. Southern Finland, the Baltic States should be dry and mostly sunny well across Norway and Sweden expect a mix of sunny spells and showers. Mainly dry across Denmark today. Heavy showers are in the forecast for northern parts of Spain and parts of Portugal with central and southern parts of Spain, dry, sunny and very warm, and this dry weather extends right across the Balearics, through Sardinia into southern parts of Italy, Greece and all of Turkey. Lots of sunshine as well across Bulgaria into Romania and the eastern Ukraine with just a few showers expected across the former Yugoslavia. Very warm today across eastern parts of Europe.

Wednesday

This fine weather extends up across Bulgaria, the former Yugoslavia, Hungary and Romania. Frequent, and heavy showers with the risk of thunder are expected across most of France, United Kingdom, Belgium and through Holland with longer spells of rain across Germany. Widespread and heavy, thundery showers are also in the forecast from Belarus, through western parts of the Ukraine, Poland into the Czech Republic and Austria. Cloud and outbreaks of rain for the north of Spain on Friday. Elsewhere Iberia should be fine and dry with good spells of sunshine. Plenty of sunshine through the Mediterranean too with more sunshine in the Balearics and Italy. Greece and Turkey will be fine too with lots of sunshine, although the risk of some showers over high ground. Heavy showers for northwest France. Sunny spells over central and southern France. Cloud and some rain for the Low Countries and Germany, these edging into the west of Poland. Eastern Poland should be dry with sunny spells, with dry and bright weather in Austria although some heavy showers forming in Switzerland. Light winds through Scandinavia. There will be sunny spells and slow moving heavy showers across Finland and Norway. A risk of some heavy showers in Denmark and Norway too with some good sunny spells.

Saturday

The risk of cloud and some showers for northwest Spain on Saturday, although the rest of WSpain and Portugal enjoy fine spells of sunshine. Cloud and rain will affect the north and west of France too, but the south and east will be dry with lots of sunshine to come here. High rpessure brings more sunshine across Italy and into Greece and Turkey. Romania and Bulgaria stay warm and sunny too. Cloud and rain will be troubling the Low Countries, where it may be heavy at times, and this will run into the north of Germany too. Southern Gertmany and Poland should stay fine with more sunshine throughout. Switzerland will have more sunshine and it should be dry here. The risk of cloud and some showers for northwest Spain on Saturday, although the rest of Spain and Portugal enjoy fine spells of sunshine. Cloud and rain will affect the north and west of France too, but the south and east will be dry with lots of sunshine to come here. High pressure brings more sunshine across Italy and into Greece and Turkey. Romania and Bulgaria stay warm and sunny too. Cloud and rain will be troubling the Low Countries, where it may be heavy at times, and this will run into the north of Germany too. Southern Germany and Poland should stay fine with more sunshine throughout. Switzerland will have more sunshine and it should be dry here. Heavy showers in Denmark and southern Norway, but some heavy rain across central Norway and southern Sweden. Cloud and drizzle through the Baltic States. Northern Norway and northern Sweden should be dry and sunny, with more sunshine to come across Finland.

Cloud and showers over northwest Spain. A few heavy showers or thunderstorms forming in central Spain too. Elsewhere in Iberia the day will be dry and sunny as well as hot. More sunshine to come for all but the far north of France. Italy is going to be enjoying a beautiful day with lots of hot sunshine. Greece and Turkey will have lots of sunshine too. Heavy showers or thunderstorms over northern France, some of them torrential. Plenty of sunshine for most of Germany, but some showers or rain spreading east through Poland. More sunshine in Switzerland and Austria as well as Hungary. Low pressure over Scandinavia brings a mix of sunshine and showers here. Showers are expected across Britain today with a few showers as well across Belgium and north western parts of Germany. Frequent and heavy showers forecast across Norway, Denmark and Sweden with an area of heavier rain from down through the Baltic. Most of Russia will be dry and very warm spells. Hot across south eastern parts of Europe today with high pressure keeping it sunny and dry from Belarus down across the Ukraine, into Romania, Hungary, the Czech Republic, the former Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, and also through Greece and all of Turkey. Most of Italy will be dry and sunny and very warm as well apart from the odd afternoon shower. This fine weather extends across Corsica and Sardinia through the Balearics with dry and sunny day across much of Spain and Portugal. By evening heavy showers may affect northern Spain. A band of showers drifting through central parts of Iberia today. There will be some good spells of sunshine around too. An area of more persistent rain and showers will be affecting central France, with sun to the west. Heavy showers over the Low Countries and through central and southern Germany, but to the north it should be drier and brighter. Across eastern Spain and Italy the day is going to be finer with good spells of sunshine. Greece and Turkey will be dry with lots of sunshine. More sunshine to come through Bulgaria and Romania. The Baltic States and Finland will have sunny spells and dry conditions. It is going to be dry with more sunshine through Norway and Sweden as well as Denmark.

Friday

A fair day through Spain and Portugal with some good spells of sunshine, and feeling very warm too. It should be fair across the Balearics and towards Italy. More sunshine to come through Greece and Turkey as well as Bulgaria and Romania. Breezy with heavy showers across northern France but the rest of the country should be dry with some sunshine. Plenty of sunshine through France and mainly dry apart from an odd shower in the far north. Sunny and dry too in the Low Countries and Germany as well as Poland. Broken cloud with sunshine in Austria, Hungary and Switzerland, although an odd shower here. Breezy with some showers in Denmark, but cloud and rain for southern Norway and southern Sweden.
