I'm too far North of Norwich to have caught their rain, some thunder to the South, closer to Norwich, with this in the horizon, by my reckoning heading my way.

Just 0.9mm of rain so far

And Guess what, it missed, both North and South got heavy rain, again thunder in the distance, just 0.3 mm to add to today's total, now 1.2mm

Very intense looking line of convection exploding to life over the pennines. Line forming with N yorks - south to sheffield in the firing line.

Anything happening with that

Typical- the moment I leave Norwich it gets a dollop of thunder!

Dry and cloudy up here in Cleadon with not a bit of convection in sight.

Last time I was up that way I had to run for it as the villagers were shouting "food!" "food!"

Convection in the SE is picking up - possible t/storms within the next hour or two I reckon.

Substantial rain now falling in torrents, flooding the roads and overspilling the guuters. But again - no thunder or lightning!!! :cray:

Same here Coast, bl**dy frustrating! Have had several of these very heavy downpours and dark clouds pass over but nothing electrical as yet :cray:

OK that was WIERD, clearing SE now and all the lights just gone off. Hardly any rain fell from that but got a gust of 61.3 Mph!

We can live in hope!

I'll be working all day, without decent access to a window, so yeah it'll probably be the storm of the decade :D

You might have to contract a severe case of e-coli that lasts for a day...

Even the planes coming into Heathrow are now stacking above me which usually means a storm is close

Have had big dark shower clouds moving over us from Wales for most of the afternoon with some torrential rain, but again no lightning or thunder etc. Looks as if it builds up more as it heads away from us eastwards.

Same here at work in Brentwood. I'm directly beneath the Lambourne approach and the planes are taking evasive action. With any luck the large storm that just passed here will give you a show soon!!

Had one rumble of thunder about an hour+ ago, looked out at some low swirling cloud and thought right, time to go outside/chase. Got to favourite viewing location, (nr Ipswich), and waited for clouds to pass over. Not much of note then except heavy showers, and then some wonderful mammatus to rival what I recently saw in USA. Pics to follow soon, hopefully. Rather pleased with mini 'chase'. Now windy with less heavy cloud and all the storm cells that seemed to have been around earlier have disappeared (from what I can see now out of my windows) :)
