A very warm and humid day, though there was a tad disappointing amount of cloud around. Felt very warm when the sun came out though.

A few rumbles of thunder in the evening too, but clear at the moment.

What a difference a day makes! Wall to wall sunshine all day with only the smallest of clouds floating about in the afternoon. Very hot in strong sun too, 40C+ in the sun. Certainly the hottest day so far this year and I'm sure tomorrow would be even hotter if the heatwave kept going. Now a very warm and humid evening - brilliant for sitting out on the pation with some beers but not good at all for sleeping. Still 22.8C.

Temperature falling readily now as the warmer uppers are slowly being pushed Eastwards.

Still, will be hot tomorrow, maxing out at around 25C here in NW England!

Quite a warm night here, though not quite as warm as some areas, with the temp level between 18.5C and 18.8C for the past 3 hours.

Currently 18.7C, 85% humidity with a 16.1C dew point.

After a high of 27.1c (note not as high as many other areas in the Midlands and eastern England/London) a really warm and oppressive evening. Currently 22.1c and clear.
