Not been too bad here today. Hardly any rain and no storms. Still plenty of time to see some more this year

I don't like set ups like this. Whenever showers come in from the SW, it intensifies until it enters the Bristol Channel then it just disappears :( I think the only time I get storms is in the rare event of a decent spanish plume.

Quite a bit developing over Central Wales - not sure if is thundery though.

NAE showing little in the way of showers away from the SW tomorrow. The energy looks like it will be there but breaking out the Precip looks like being an issue. dry.gif

Its interesting to hear the match was called off today because where I was the rain was heavy but by no means it was intense. The only time it got torrential was the moment where alot of low level cloud was heading from West to East and the wind picked up quite a bit, only lasted 5 mins though and it was not as severe as it was last Monday. Moderate-heavy rain for the rest of it and quite a bit of thunder, saw 4 flashes of lightning, overhead aswell so first overhead storm in the Spring/summer/Autumn season since last September.

Still, it was more than I thought was going to happen today in all honesty.

Rain is starting to get heavy again now.

Any thunder heard? Looks like everything is quiet now though

One glaciated anvil, another CB due south of it (the Lincs storms being noted) visually from here in a clear slot at the minute.

I dont blame you!

I seem to have observed over the last few years the West does very well early on in the season then its the East that steals the show from July onwards. Seems to be the same again this year.

Can see some lightning on the radar over the Lincolnshire area.

The thing is we didn't do well at the start?

Got some very stormy skies moving in from the west.

No where as "stormy" as up north. but looks promising.
