Very gusty through early hours down here, also a very dark wet ominous feeling. If I had to guess at gust speed i think around 40pmh?

winds are still picking up in my local met office weathr statio(capel curig) now gusting 82mph!!!! , i wonder what the wind is like on top of snowdon this morning.. must be over 100mph!!!!

Good morning. My AWS recorded a gust of 34.2mph here ( Fairlight, just outside Hastings ) just after 7am this morning but I wouldn't take that as gospel. Siting can be an issue. Im heading down to Rock-a-Nore at midday for high tide though, camera in hand !

Capel Curig now 82mph, Lake Vyrnwy 67mph, and Aberdaron 72mph. I have family near Lake Vyrnwy too.

Gusts are hitting up to 40mph in Brighton and it is very dark outside. Bins are falling.

The strongest gusts recorded at Shoreham weather centre was 42kts (48mph)
