At the moment, the wind is getting a strong attack of gustiness. One or two of the gusts earlier caught me by surprise, although nothing too servere.

Evening All!!!

This is my first post this winter, after having gone to sleep for the summer, but I am now wide awake and ready for storms and, of course, snow!!!!!!

Just been reading through the thread a little bit to catch up! I'm not convinced I will see any snow here in Nottingham (NG10), but it's very very windy out there at the moment and still raining, although not as heavy I don't think as it was earlier! Winds are definatley picking up!!!!!!

Wednesday Nights low will end up skirting the channel in the end as the GFS always moves these lows southwards.

Thursday Evening looking potentially snowy on the 18z but im convinced that will skim the channel still to although it should

drag some nice cold uppers behind it eventually.

im from stoke and there was no snow and there is no snow at the moment, uppers and 500HPA are far too high, maybe in 12 hours time though

It probably wont be till midday when the proper better conditions set in. Lets hope the showers do make it but the models think so.

Hope you guys get lucky and see some wintry showers and a few get some snow. Would appreciate just a wintry shower here in Oxford, something the bbc/met office have said could occur. Will keep an eye on this thread tomoz to see how lucky you guys are getting.

Look at the intensity in the squall line of PPN moving in from Wales. Wonder if we could see any storm from that? Torro issued a warning earlier.
