Just went out, it's amazing out there, I haven't experienced anything like it... Watching it from afar is totally different!

Ice everywhere and crystals and flakes everywhere, beautiful, but oh so dangerous.

Teesside should have a couple more hours of snow yet.

Brilliant so far I have a covering but not any depth to it yet it is a little patchy too

Some more intense ppn about to hit Newcastle shortly. Still has not turned to proper snow here, mostly ice. My front door is covered in thick ice.

Best snow we've had all day - huge flakes, rapidly increasing the depth. 2cm so far, hopefully I can squeeze one more out of this!

Really?? Very heavy snow burst here, 1cm in 10 mins.

2.5cm... Amazingly heavy!

light covering here but coming down nicely looks like we could be in for a couple more hours of snow going by the radar

Looks like the heavy stuff is to out north... pretty poor here in Durham. At best a covering where it hasn't been blown away. Grass still visible. SO much for the models - they had us under ppn for another 3 hours at least! Be lucky to get 45 mins more... what went wrong?

Front didn't stall, upper mild sector caused the ice pellets.

Good luck for today guys. I'm sure you'll all see something... but not OON. Everyone except OON will see some snow. :D

You're right....except for the snow which prevented me, in my 4x4 and winter tyres, from getting out of the village to go to Kendal tonight. Well, I could have got there, but it would have been silly, and it's still snowing now....just.....and below freezing.....just.

Ironically the ice pellets helped the covering for me :') how long i got left?

At least we got a covering of some sort albeit mostly ice pellets, we were so close to have this full of snow, uppers needed to be just a touch colder.

Intensity has gone up again and there is quite a bit more snowflakes now mixed in, lets hope we can edge out another 20-30 mins of this and that will do me.

One last burst of heavy snow as I can see some clear skies to my NW. Should last another 10-15 mins here, to around 2-2.5 hours in Teesside.

light snow still falling here in Westmoor.just noticed need to change my location

Brilliant this, near blizzard conditions, surfaces covered in snow and layer of frozen water from the freezing rain, icicles have formed... WOW!

Snowing moderately here, looks to be about 7 or 8cm with lots of drifting

Really? From 1cm level here to 8 cms a few miles away? Radar didn't suggest that.
