clarification - whether to go to bed early now and get up in the middle of the night, or wait till middle of night in hoe of seeing something?

And miss a second os snow? Sounds mad to me. I say just stay up and see it through.

Currently around 6cm here although the drift up my front door is 10cm. Very difficult to make a call of depths due to the wind blown snow. Snow becoming heavier now.

And here too. Just took a look out of my window for the first time in a while and I've only just realised it's got a lot heavier than earlier! Very nice!

What's your thoughts for the medium term Teits? Will we see a battleground midweek or should we be looking east for snow showers?

I would say you should make your own decisions on when to go to bed.

I want to make a hot coco for the night's watching but what with the front taking it sweet time getting here, I don't want to jump the gun. Stupid land getting in the way of slowing things down and weakening the front.

The City is a big place, used to live there and still work there. There was a decent fall in Norwich for starters at the end of November 2008.

It's not been anything like the 6-12" other parts of county has seen in the last couple of winters. I just think it's time us in Norfolk saw some deeper snow. Anyway I'm not going to argue with you, if you are happy with what we've had over the last few years then I'm happy for you but I would like to see a bit more. The snow has started to fall (very light) here now so fingers crossed we will get more than we usually do this time round.

Love when big contributers like you get the results you deserved.

Enjoy the snow and keep warm :)

Been snowing in King's Lynn for about the last two hours. Started quite light but has really picked up now. Very windy, and bitterly cold. Goodness knows what the windchill must be!

Some very heavy echoes on the radar around the midlands moving towards us. Reports of 20 cm around stoke. This will hit our region in a couple of hours and the front will slow down. Dont forget the tripple point on the faxs. I Still think we are good for 15 cm in the best spots. Heaviest snow will be around midnight.

Ps follow me on twitter for updates @timbland36

Dave,

Here in Nuneaton we have had 6 hrs plus of snow-heavier in the last 2 hours got around 10cms.

Looking at the radar we are nearing the back edge here but it`s likely on it`s way to you now.

It`s certainly been as much as a lot of us around the Birmingham/Coventry area would have expected.

Let`s hope the thaw isn`t too quick-should be lie around longer for you guys further East. :)

I was in High Wycombe at 7pm now back in Herts. There were 2 accidents on M25. I suspect many more before night is out. Conditions seem to be deteriorating. Snow here in East Herts moderate, possibly a little heavier as I look out window now.

Sorry but what is 1mm in cm of snow? Thank you.

Really light snow here for last 3 hours, hope it picks up

Generally, x6 to x10 times the rain amount, so 1mm of rain = roughly 1cm of snow.

I agree with that. Though looking at the radar, I think members such as TEITS and MrsF up in Peterborough will end up with the biggest snow totals.
