Up to 2cms in barnet. Its heavy precip, but very small flakes, cover building slowly...

Loving looking out onto the street, road now covered...very quiet...just saw a dominos pizza moped zoom past! Suicidal lol!

Trains, buses, cars all stop, but not dominos pizza! Loll

Everyone, go outside now and watch, listen. It's beautiful!

Looking at the radar, the front seems to be weakening really rapidly. There was a massive band of green over the Midlands and this has just about disappeared from the radar as it's heading towards Cambs. I can't believe it's decayed so quickly. there's no way we're going to get really heavy stuff in a couple of hours. It'll have fizzled out completely by then

Just checked the temps here and they have dropped from -1C to -2C. Impressed with this as I was slightly concerned these might rise slightly in the W of the region.

Still snowing heavily although mainly small flakes than large but this is a consequence of the temps. Much prefer dry snow than large wet flakes for accumulations.

Cheers for the post Phil.

Front only just cleared Manchester! Could be 8 am before it clears as its slowing / stalling. The best is yet to come as there are some intense echoes just leaving the midlands

Snowing heavy here now with larger flakes. Should i be measuring the depth on the grass or patio??

It seems to be that there is a radar fault affecting this area - showing precip lighter than it actually is. You can see this with the streaky line arragement.
