Been snowing here in Stroud since 1.30pm and now its blowing about. Temperature minus 0.4. The rain which was showing on the NW precipitation type radar to the west of here has changed back to snow so I'm expecting at least another hour or so of snow.

It snowed for around 2 hours in Exeter this morning and stopped around midday and turned to sleety rain :( it stopped around 4pm but has been mighty cold all day, managed to have a little play in it with my daughter but nothing like dec 2010, I'm happy with what we got and hope you guys further up get it now, it's currently Reading 5c, I think this may be our lot for the winter - good luck guys

Yes maybe. temperature up here is holding firm at -0.2c but dew point is starting to climb -1c now I just wonder if much will last into sunday?

You seem to have about 40 miles of snow still to the west of you - about the same as Stroud, but the change to rain/sleet is not moving as fast as the actual precipitation - if you know what I mean - so it could last a couple of hours more....

Yes it has cheered me up after the winter we have had so far! :D Just a shame that back end of weather front looks quite heavy because it will melt it.

Still snowing and laying but temperature and dewpoint is climbing and 850's are far from conducive for snow so wont be long. I shall be off to the pub once rain sets in :good:
