Large flakes of wet snow that haven't settled here between Yeovil and Sherborne. Turning to sleet as I type.

It's actually starting to turn sleety outside... Temp is now at 0.8c with a dp of -0.4c and still rising very slowly. Really is knife edge here.

i went up through wells to priddy and down to cheddar and then got stuck and how to turn around due to my abs brakes !

You got stuck because of the slippy surface I think you will find !

Still snowing here but fairly light - some surfaces starting to thaw v slowly - guess temp rising slowly and dew points up i would think.

Covering of snow but nothing to write home about.

I suspect we're on the edge here for next few hours - turning to rain/sleet soon maybe?

Still a brisk SE breeze here helping to keep the colder dryer air in place. It does look like the small circulation suggested by NAE is indeed going to happen and where that tracks will have a big influence on the snow to rain situation

Here the 'centre' of the low runs down through Dorset keeping it snow to the east of that track

that low that runs through dorset needs watching like a hawk if anybody is up at that time of night.

if it gets any deeper it will drag in the cold air from the east putting the snow line back into dorset and east somerset, it would also really perk up the precip.

Has anyone else been looking at the radar over the last half an hour...

The snow line is moving back west... It was to the east of Bristol, now it's to the west!

you are lucky we didnt even get the sleet :nea: I cant believe its still so cold, I thought it was supposed to get milder as the rain arrived? I just wish I could go away and stop looking because I know all the reports on the forums are only going to make me more depressed as the night goes on.
