Hi guys..

Iv got a link to share, a live webcam at Whitherensea so you can see what's coming in from the north sea...

http://ww.com/2e0enw

Guy talking just said 8 inches of snow lol. Would need more precipitation that whats coming for that.. thanks for the link though mate, i'll be watching it all the time.

.

How am I looking mate thought quick pop in while at college see how things are going.

Rain for you mate :(

Snowstorm, post your post code.

Your just on the wrong side of marginal Michael.

It's snow E/SE of you, may turn to snow backedge for you, but doubtful as precipitation is east of you, and moving South.

It only turns to snow on it's backedge on the lightest bit, a matter of too little, too late for you i'm afraid. Precipitation would have moved through you by the time it's supportive of snowfall.

We've had moderate snow for a while now here. NO indication of it being remotely sleety. Looks like it's going to get heavier in the short term looking at the radar so we may start to get accumulations when that gets here. As it is, it's probably only adding to the existing snow cover and melting on the clear paths at the moment.

Just driven home from York. Was some snow there that turned to rain, then ice pellets. Turned to snow on reaching the Wolds and is persistent but light.

There must be a point when it gets so cold that it must snow.

You'd think so but no.

I've seen torrential rain at a temperature of -1.c.

Damp, cold, foggy and drizzling here. Didn't think we'd get the snow. Now really holding up much hope of getting anything tonight either.

Ah well, here's to summer 2012! :drinks:

I genuinely don't get it. Just checked on the met office and the warning extends all the way across Yorkshire for snow today and tomorrow. Yet put in my postcode and it shows for sleet until 6pm and then cloudy skies for the next 5 days.

Which models do they use because they seem to contradict themselves every other minute?

Update. Heavier now and settling on areas which had cleared of lying snow. Some wonderful star shaped flakes as well.
