Still coming down pretty heavily here in Knowle, with some evil looking intense PPN heading this way to the NW of us - will it fall as snow or (freezing) rain I wonder?

Bish

The pic below is the M42 between Junctions 1 and 2. It's not looking too clever there at the moment, with worse yet to come probably.

Wouldn't it have been easier to use a ruler?!

The snow here has turned to rain now but, like some other places have seen, the snow may return when some heavier precip reaches here. It's been so windy that the snow has blown all over the place, so it's hard to tell how much there's been really, but it's probably less than 2 inches.

Lol! Really? Rain in Malvern? Hope that isn't on it's way here...

It's an absolute disgrace, tons and tons of stock piled grit ???!! Where are the gritters ??

Even me and my little front wheel drive 106 struggled to get back home earlier on normal main roads.

oh yeah, on the raintoday radar which is bizarrely showing alternating precipitat levels and precipitation type, it is turning to sleet to the west of me and rain behind that.

The images below are the M5 at Junction 2 and the M6 between Junctions 6 and 7 - definitely not a night to be out driving throughout the Birmingham area.

Do you understand what grit.salt is?

It's not a magic powder that can be spread over all roads in minutes and prevents snow and ice from forming ......

On the nottingham city transport website it says most roads in city are at a standstill... And buses are stuck all over place.

This is even before the big orange blob hits. Strange as loads of salt has been spread
