In the middle of some very heavy snow. 50p flakes, really adding to the snow depths!

Looks like a couple of people tried to make a getaway in their car but had to give up as the wheels kept skidding. A few cars can't even park in the bays properly and have to park at angles. Snow still coming down moderately

Heads up here but I think the radar is really struggling tonight, not sure why but the snow maybe not helping matters?

Its been having troubles in the London area most of the day actually thinking about it.

Same here Darren, its been nigh on impossible to track whats comming for the last few hours. Still snow all the way here tho.

Actually Net Weather site has been the same the last hour too!

At the risk of sounding like a spoilt child, am looking at the NW radar and seeing a band of precipitation nearly clearing London and heading east at a rate of knots.

Is that because the snow got here a lot earlier than previously thought or is there more following behind? I know it arrived here a bit early at 9pm but thought it was meant to be a 6-9hour event?

Sorry, ignore me, am a novice and also a bloody idiot!!

Steve Murr is there any reason that the heavy snow will not make it as far east as Herne Bay ? I thought it was due here by now.

True, the snow has got heavier but it's not heavy it's the winds giving that impression.. There looks to be about 2cm or so on ground not exactly 10+

Snow really has picked up now, probably getting closer to the back-end of the frontal precip, however there is considerable convective style precip just behind the front, so could easily see some more decent snowfall...

Good night overall!!
