Snowing steadily here, about level 5/6 and it's starting to settle on pavements :clapping: looking good!

We've had about 45 mins of light steady snow (Murr 4-5ish) here on the Kent/Sussex border. Not exactly in line with earlier forecasts, but I'm not complaining.

The radar is suggesting this area is barely moving at the moment, perhaps slight motion to just west of south (185 degrees or so)

Very much a nowcast event...I'm not fully expecting much of the SE to get 1-3cms...

Do you mean its coming down north to south and you DO think the whole area will get 1-3cms? METO have heavy snow warnings out, yet reports seem to be for some heavy but not as much as radar showing it seems? I am definately confused tonight :acute:

Been snowing here since approx 7pm (maybe sooner as thats when I first looked out of window. In last few minutes its started to settle in all sufaces after initially just covering car roofs - what a cock up !! (by the weather forecasters)

Double checked and still not wants to settle on roads/pavements although small patches are startimng to form I think - shouldn't be much longer

Might have had a result with no precip here as it might keep the snow on the ground intact for the northerly next week.

Temp : +1c

Dewp : -1c

Wind is now out of the SE

Yep. Unless your under the dark oranges, nothing is happening. It should of been snowing for an hour in my location by now. But not a single flake!

Moderate snowfall here now, decent sized flakes, but the patio inspection says not settling, flakes taking approx 10 seconds to melt. Temp 1.5, dew risen slightly to -1.3. This is bothering me

Having just said that, they are getting fatter and faster....
