Brief but heavy showers taking place on and off today, temp 15oC.

Edited to add: Just been out to look at the rain gauge - 36 mm from yesterday till now! Holy Moly.

Thunderstorms are now so predictable and regionally biased. lol. Typically the chance of strong storms are Eastern only. Only the pathetic ones visit this region nowadays. 23rd September 2010 or 28th July 2008 were the best in recent times....well thats not that recent anymore! Lol.

Ahhh but 4 years are but a blink of the eye in the long cycle of weather and climate! Surely thunderstorms will revisit us sooner or later. I remain hopeful!

i think you should appreciate what you have had! You did very well last year compared to many, especially with night time storms! maybe its someone elses turn?

i think you should appreciate what you have had! You did very well last year compared to many, especially with night time storms! maybe its someone elses turn?

Yes I did good last year but this year has been exceptionally biased to the East so far. Even the storm I had the other weak was overall weak and didnt last long. You had a great one the other week too! Nothing like that here.

Anyway the France v Ukraine match has a nice Thunderstorm over it as its pitch black as night!

Yet another sunless day today with some heavy showers!

The ECM is a smack in the face after the charts showing things settling down for at least 4 days before, hopefully it's a dud run as its been painfully dull for the past 15 days!
