I GOT A RUMBLE!!!!

Nice, cell to my SW has now merged with the main line. Heavy core slowly edging towards here and will probably pass just to my West. Will it be electrified???

I can see the edge of the cloud from the Taunton cell from here , and I'm to the SE of Yeovil, so I guess it's pretty big.

Looks like the core is heading towards Stourbridge on the radar so you might get something. If you look where Bridgnorth is, were kinda just on the very outer age, but hey, I aint seen anything for 12 months so I'll take whatever I can get!

very dark to my south & south west, no rumbles here yet but certainly hopeful of hearing/seeing something soon though...Those cells certainly are kicking out some decent precip rates

Looks really good outside, but I think it's going to be a close but no cigar situation unless something builds to my south west. Good luck everyone who hasn't had anything yet!

Can see a rain curtain to my west, don't think it's a very potent cell but could be building? Also dark to my south west

got very warm here this afternoon up to 24C, midday saw lots going up and then collapsing, now we have hazy sunshine and a rapidly filling sky full of unpromising flat rubbish. Who said the east always gets the storms???? Wrong!!!! Still, 3 or 4 hrs to go yet but not really hopeful.....

Dry in Upminster! According to twitter it's just started to rain the Basildon area - there are some seriously beefy looking towers out there! Will try and get some photos up when I'm off the train. Pleased that a few more guys have had a bit more action today after the localised stuff earlier this week :)

Pretty sure I just saw a CG bolt but heard no thunder so maybe my eyes were just tricking me.

The NMM 06z continues to show some extremely heavy downpours and quite organized for N Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire later this evening and in to the early hours;

Certainly ingredients for convection

I think we may just be a little too far South for this. Who knows, these showers are lasting some time and appear to be backbuilding.

not so much back building Luke, rather new cells firing upwind along the outflow boundaries of the first cells...........they don't seem to be electrified hardly, but there's plenty of time for that to change, some areas west of Brum could get some high precip totals due to shower entrainment

Ahh I just presumed Convergence as there are them about today plus they seemed to be developing in very similar spots.

Cb's and towers all around here, very warm and humid compared to yesterday. Hoping to catch one of the storms as they move through.
