Don't know why some people in more eastern regions are getting frustrated. Looking outside in S glos, there is plenty of convection going on and surely will only develop more as it heads east? Theres plenty of afternoon and evening to go yet.

Not any good for me but hey, I expected this to happen 2 days ago with the forecast wind directions. It just isn't any good for this area if everything is heading east, as we end up brewing it all.

Yes, you were right! It's just started to rain here and thunder is rumbling away. Disappointed that it isn't a little more spectacular, but I guess that the main bulk of the storm is yet to come!

We got the Olympic torch coming through Broseley at 2.58, and gathering dark clouds to the South... Will it stay dry? hmmm dunno.

Absolutely torrential rain and frequent thunder in Oxford for about 10 mins. Some lightning, but no forks visible. Quietening down now - a welcome break from essay-writing!
