Yep, drizzlefest today. Persistent and seems to have set in for the duration. Feels cold without the sun. Tomorrow looks even worse.

Wind got up now very blustery here too now.

Corned beef hash for tea...well we are at that time of year now.

Pretty horrendous in Cumbria this morning especially on the roads, lashing with rain with leaves and other autumn debris flying around - the trees seem to have dumped a tonne of leaves overnight, expect conditions to deteriorate further as the cold front moves ever closer.....

Pretty foul weather here too, rain and wind lashing the windows, proper autumn weather!

What time do we expect the cold front to arrive, is there still that nasty squall line showing?

Very strong southerly winds gusting around 55mph, the back edge if the cold front is lying through the Irish Sea between the IOM and N ireland, keep watching the radars as the squall line develops along the back edge, very strong southerly winds will veer sharply sw-w so expect some strongs gusts before a dramatic decrease.

Depressing weather here in Oldham today, drizzle, very windy and the occasional heavy rain outburst ... No clear spells in sight

Nothing here. Whenever heavy rain is forecast from the west, I know very little will actually materialise, sometimes nothing.

Remarkably low amount of precipitation forecast for such low pressure in the next few days, except from tonight/ early hours of tomorrow (only 8mm)? , Friday pleasant looking.

Just had a look at the NAE PPN maps for tomorrow.

it is showing snow for the isle of man, fringing onto the North wales coast, also parts of NW England

DP are showing -2c but the 850 temp is only showing -3 so imo not conclusive for snow

found the NAE quite accurate last year, however think it is way of the mark for what it is showing tomorrow.

parts of NW could be in for a very wet day tomorrow, as rain streams in from Cheshire Gap, I should be far enough south to avoid it of westerly winds

Not sure, but it could be hail that the NAE is picking up on with very cold air aloft

spreading over that region tomorrow, with a trough thrown in as well.

meanwhile parts of Wales are currently having sleet/snow showers.

NAE once indicates the possibility of wintry weather on saturday for parts of NW England
