Yup!

If the band carries on pushing east I wouldn't be surprised to see snow around 200m, perhaps even lower under the heavier bursts.

850's are -3 which although marginal has still provided wintry weather over Wales/SW England. There doesn't appear to be an onshore breeze as XC Weather is showing temps hovering above freezing, quite widespread too.

Will be interesting to see how temperatures respond over NW England.

Just driven home in our first snow shower of the winter.

Didn't really stick but was certainly edging more to snow than sleet as we climbed higher although with a current temperature of 3'c I think it's going to be bit marginal whether we wake up to white or just wet tomorrow.

Its a cold showery evening here, plenty of hefty heavy showers with a gusty wind - quite a wintry feeling evening. Suspect most ground above 450m will be covered white in the morning with the snowline retreating to about 650m by the afternoon. Saturday looks interesting, a frontal feature will move through the region and with cold uppers, lower ground could see some wintriness in the sky certainly a few flakes of snow, but nothing sticking, whilst higher ground could see some quite large totals.

In many years we have had to wait until December before lower ground has seen a snowflake, not this year, given last Friday's events, which were exceptionally early a number of places in NE England at least have already seen snowfall.

Seen some of the worst hail I have ever seen this morning around Lancaster. Build up of the stuff on the M6 for around half a mile at least a couple of inches deep on the carriageway and surrounding fields.

Did have a good view mind, was sat on the M6 for 2 hrs due to both sides being closed bacause of above hailstorm. Air Ambulance had to be used as well so i presume not good at all. Road re opened in the last half hour, and for that half mile stretch the hail has compacted onto the road, literally like an ice rink.

We had some mega hail showers here lastnight near Wigan, was good to see the ground looking briefly white for the 1st time this Autumn!

The latest shower at Sandhutton unexpectedly turned to hail, but not as dramatic as some westerners are reporting!

In this part of the world you would hardly believe we're under the influence of a deep area of low pressure. The morning has been dry with sunny periods and 2-5 oktas Cu, not a sign of a shower.

Sunny spells this morning, but clouding over now with the threat of showers late afternoon looking at the radar - continuing trend of feeling quite cold, but don't think any wintry stuff will fall from these showers.

Just had a look at the radar images for around 8.30 this morning and it ties in quite well with what fell from the skies !

Was amazing to see how localised it actually was, as is quite often the case. There was just this half mile stretch/area, and then nothing. Glad I didn't have to drive in it, as according to the highways blokes this obviously contributed towards what happened on the roads.
