Quite a few dark based cumilonimbus clouds around here at the moment with sunshine in between.

I hope we finally get some thunder today.unsure.png

Seems very active down south and south east. The CB's outside of here are flipping huge though!!!

blimey, you've have pooped yourself if you'd been here for the MCS that hit a couple or so weeks ago....for a 20 minute period at its peak it was unleashing for than a rumble per second making it sound like a constant roar of thunder...had to be heard to be believed!

Indeed AJ, I was walking about in that during the early stages of that beast, when in South Warwickshire. That was well before it moved through and developed into the MCS beastie further North and East. Even then, the thunder was constant and you almost couldn't define one rumble from the next.

Can see a small CB to my west. I think its gonna miss. But seems fairly heavy on the radar.

I'm looking at the one to your south and hoping it can maintain itself for the rest of its journey south south-eastwards.

Plenty of nice cloudscapes here but als no thunder, YET!

Thats not good!

Dark shower clouds to the south and clear blue skys to the West and North-West. Most of the activity appears to now only be to the far south.

I guess its already game over for me today then.sad.png

They're definitely going along in streets with movement south-southeastwards. Far too early to say game over but at least the sun should help more convection for the rest of today.

The showers behind this line are interesting. Will be fun to see what happens when they reach Wales.. Its only 1pm, so plenty of time. Maybe theyw ill "pepp" up over land?

Going dark again here, only expecting rain. The showers seem to be forming in a line for here so by the end of the day I expect a fair few mm to have fallen.

Plenty of Cb's to my NW, but they aren't developing enough over Wales to get something here. Need to wind to turn more NW - SE ideally so they have longer to develop.

Looks like a day on the South Coast is the best bet today.
