Still no rain and no sign of lightning or sound of thunder. Just very grey all round.

Many Thanks, I guess I need to visualise things more then! Now, you have mentioned this, it does make sense. Interesting stuff. good.gif

The sky has turned black to my South and the wind has picked up ..some intense rain on the way by the look of it !

Looks like it's moving across just to the south of you on radar - but these showers are developing fast so you could get something!

Hi everyone. I'm in county Fermanagh, northern ireland and have been sinse friday. It's been warm and humid for the most part, but with showers on most days, none thundery though. I've not been able to go on the internet all weekend. I'm just interested to know how the breakdown panned out. Did the south east get to over 30c and then get batterd by storms? Did liverpool get anything? Any small summerys would be great! Thanks.

That intense shower that passed to my north on radar, was another that developed rain rates well over 100mm/h on radar. It looked really dark and menacing as it drifted by, with some low cloud fragments/scud below the base in some places. No thunder heard though and no rain here.

Edit: forgot to add there was a wind shift as this one passed too, the breeze picked up again from the SSW but then shifted round to the WNW as the shower passed to the north.

Another thundery shower heading for Bristol by the looks of it. I'm home from work now so driven out of Bristol about 10 miles North, and I can see the dark skies to my south. Won't reach me here but perhaps some interest for some.

Rain easing now with blue sky coming in from the west. Heard a rumble to the east not too long ago, probably what is louder over legritter's way. Think that might be it though for now.

Persistent torrential rain here for the last half hour or so at least.

No thunder but surface water and minor flash flooding everywhere!

Recently a rain rate of 65.4mm/hr, currently reporting 4.0mm and counting, much more to come. An impressive temperature drop of nearly 2c and an associated barometer kick of 0.3hpa.

All of the above within 15 minutes of the shower's arrival and still it goes on, alas no Thunder though.

Garden flooded out after that rain. I can now hear thunder. It all seems to be lining up just for here.
