Well we see the percipitation increase as the system moves North over Devon. What was light percipitation is becoming torrential near Barnstable, any reports from area underneath that deluge.

Nothing here at all think its hugging the coast near Ilfracombe. I am in Barnstaple no rain and no wind not a leaf moving. Radar showing very heavy rain but i can say nothing is coming out of it at all. very strange. and very calm.

The Met Office rainfall maps show the heavy rain actually continuing into Tuesday morning..

Here's tomorrows rainfall waiting in the wings, heaviest likely to be across SW England and Wales through the morning and into early afternoon, elsewhere in the South likely to see some further rainfall, though before it all begins to shift Northwards

John,

Those radar reflections in Southeast England look quite impressive, what kind of rain totals in your experience would you expect off that in an hour?

To me, it looks like excess of 15mm an hour, but im not as experienced as you.

It does look slightly to the west of Barnstable, but you would expect something from it there.

Also looks like it might just miss us two, currently seems to have swansea in its aim
