Sleet/wet snow in Littleborough village, slightly higher at my house I am at the snow line.

Great to have a northwest thread again.

the Low Pressure over us right now is heading to Italy and then heading back for us via scandinavia to bring easterlies for vengence. Its the same old low pressure system next week.http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2635167

It's going to stick here I reckon

Definately a higher snow component in the PPN than there has been since the powder at the start around midday.

Itv Granada says NO to Snow over night!

Once this turns to rain, i cannot see anymore snow after, any wintry showers after midnight will miss us to the East in my opinion.

Snowing in Bacup and settling where there is snow left from earlier, it is struggling to settle on the slush which is also on all the hard surfaces, if this freezes it will be horrendous. It doesn't make sense it is snowing at dripping at the same time!!

ECM good at 168, for our region.

It does look decent! Hopefully good things to come! Well least this slush we have won't distract me from the spurs game tonight ;-)

I wouldn't say thick, I'd say naive and dismissive. As pointed out there is a front that passes East to West with that flow on the ECM . For us in northwest in that set up we need to keep an eye on the strength of the flow. The stronger it is the better any snow will penetrate the west. A lot of us have had this pleasure loads of times before smile.png

Anyways still snow and sleet here with a nice slushy covering building up.

haha ECM looses the plot at 192hr... there's going to be a lot of wrist slashing in the model thread lol.
