I wish all tv weather presenters/forecasters felt the same.

Sometimes I cringe when I hear them talking about bits of blue, holes in the sky and so on and so forth!

You don't have to put up with the "fluffy clouds" and that "nice high pressure" or "niggling northeasterlies" then...

Hello again - I made the "tea" during the break drinks.gif

NW have finally updated the snow risk charts - must have been that upload which crashed the server cos it's AWESOME!!!!

It's "South winds" that really grinds my gears. WTF are "South winds"????

OMG just looked at those snow risk charts!!

It's often said that they're not to be taken too seriously, but boy it sure is great to look at. It's usually 95% risk of rain not snow. Fingers and toes crossed.

Still cant see it happening.

The charts will be watered down tomorrow, as surely there cant be any upgrades, leaving rain for the southern region.

hang fire untill this time tomorrow regarding any snow chances ,at the moment this evening we are 96hrs away from a possible wintry mix and still 120hrs before the possible arrival of low uppers of note .i personally think we are in a good position especially having low pressure and cold temp to tap into .but the pear all to often comes along .going on present data etc i would give our area a 55 % chance of the white stuff come next Monday morning .remember keep an eye on fax charts from met office and listen to some of the more technical posters .im suffering with a chest infection so a hot small toddy then off to bed to dream ,ssssssnnnnnnnooooowwww, drinks.gif

Thought i'd log in to check on the pub run before bed and found that the site had crashed, thought it was either an epic run and everyone had gone nuts or everything had broken down and members were having mass nervous breakdowns. luckily after a couple of attempts i got on. After seeing some of the epic charts and the mass excitement in the model thread it had better come off now or there will be a mass meltdown of epic proportions and i shall stay well away until the spring biggrin.png Somebody better post the Samaritans number ready just in case.

If it's similar tomorrow I'm going to start warning the older and more vulnerable peeps I know. I still get shocked when my mum says breezily that it will be fine because she has a cornershop - she's not the sort to keep lots of (any!) stores but I can see those cats of hers starting at her toes when the Felix runs out....

Lol at people in the mod thread looking at +160 hours which is days away, apparently a breakdown from the SW is going to happen. IMO no point looking past 72h at the moment with all the changes!

a breakdown is that good?

The moral of this tale being look firstly for the gradual build up of entrenched cold due East and North of this region. Thereafter, hope for something snowy during the period from the 12th to the 15th. search.gif

I bid you night night. lazy.gif
