Quite a few times I've left Canterbury with Snow on the ground and got to work at Manston to sod all! LOL

Same!! Sometimes gone to faversham and they have nothing, maybe we are well placed? In a valley and not far from north sea!

Saturday starts as run

Late night poss snow but light

Ice a bigger problem

Sunday dry but bitter

Monday heavy snow late pm

Tuesday wait til later

The Met Office still says light snow where is the heavy snow coming from.

I reckon the snow event monday night could be quite juciy on this run...

Nothing of note for us in the SE so far on this run until a dusting first thing on Sunday morning, watching it roll out with interest now. EA get a 'splash and dash' Saturday afternoon.

Quicker frontal system this time, not quite as good for our area or for many other areas as it means it'll come through during peak heating rather than later eveing. That sort of thing can make the difference with regards to settling and how much can settle, etc.

I'd much rather it kick through 3-4hrs later than what the 12z GFS shows, though to be fair temps will probably be fairly close to zero no matter what time of the day.

cor you can tell snow is on the way, the forum has jumped 6 pages since i last snooped, i only went and got my sledge out and tidied the garden in prep. Well here's fingers crossed to a happy herne bay over the next week :)
