The pavements are quite wet now - probably good practise for the inevitable let down tomorrow. At least this band would have only given half a cm if it had settled, so we haven't missed much.

nice even covering in Consett, nothing to get excited over though. The most remarkable thing is that the roads have been gritted, im speechless....

Pretty happy with the little sugar dusting in patches. Uppers are milder but the intensity will be stronger.

I seem to remember December 4th 2008 looking as uninspiring as tomorrow the evening before, but after a couple of hours of sleet it turned to snow and we all got 5cm or so despite the lack of deep embedded cold ahead of the front. So anything is possible! (If it wasn't I don't think we'd be still posting on here this evening, we'd all be off doing other things)

Go and have a look on your flower beds if you've got any, I'm sure you'll see a ugar dusting blum.gif

Well I see you backtracked with your snow report after I said I was driving up to High Heaton.

I knew there wouldn't be any snow (or sugar dusting) whatsoever and guess what, not a single flake of lying snow. Drove from Chilli Rd up to Four Lane Ends and absolutely bo diddly!

Only one thing lying in High Heaton as usual rofl.gif

Small wet flakes falling now - a sign of slightly milder air?

Well i don't even know what to think now as the radar has decided there is no longer a front. Last look out of the window the snow was falling more heavily but very wet, car windscreen was literally just as if it was raining. Intensity has lowered again and looks sleety.
