and for my location, just light snow now all day

Still showing as Heavy for Solihull on Friday. Saturday now shows as Light Snow, whereas previously it was just Cloudy.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Plus, light snow for an entire day will still accumulate nicely.

Light snow for an entire day is nice, but far removed from snowmageddon and a foot of snow ;) We'll have to wait until Friday I guess to see what happens! I wouldn't be surprised to see downgrades tomorrow to be honest.

I can't believe how negative some people are

Quite, I'm beginning to feel quite depressed ...

Great 18Z still, slightly further west but i think the strength of wind being untalked about, real blizzard we could get, the true meaning, snow and high winds

Better I think actually, snow seems heavier than on 12Z and for longer, due to front stalling over west midlands

18z is much better than the 12z, continues the westward shift I was on about though, still expecting another 50-70 miles to go.

Reckon I'll end up dry and cold most of Friday.

You'll need to see a doctor about that...

I don't think realism is being negative!! I love snow - but I'm cautious having been through the model watching up and downs for years. Most times great charts do not pan out. It's too soon to get excited but I'm willing to be proved wrong.
