At work at moment and by looking at recent posts things my ave changed a little for the better for this region. Can anyone p,ease inform me how it's looking for north lincs and scunny as I'm out n about in the sticks and my signal isn't good enough to monitor the current situation and also Fridays /weekends situation. Any chance we may get some of this snow building in the area tonight or will it just miss my town??

Keeping everyone crossed and even better I've managed to get Sunday Monday and Tuesday off work.

Keep the faith

Lol it shows sheffield light snow all the way now on meto website i wish!

Same for Penistone but with an 18hour spell of heavy snow from 6pm Fri to 12pm Sat. I'd be more than happy with just the 18hrs of heavy, but

i suppose 3days of solid snow on top is a bit of a bonus eh.

Only expecting an inch or so tomorrow evening, even here in Leeds. North Sea Convection could give much more further East though.

Look out for Monday - more ensembles and models (and indeed latest FAX charts) show a snow event moving north from the South East of England, intensifying and expanding as it does so. Could be very interesting, particularly if we add to the current snow and ice in the next 36 hours. Too far out for guessing accumulations at this stage, but could be more fruitful than tomorrow for our part of the world anyway. *could*.

Looks like what I said is coming right. Any snow that develops in the east simply won't push any further inland at weekend. Updated bbc charts show snow breaking up over Birmingham :(

Wednesday are playing wolves are they not?

Think it will be called off more for fans safety than on the pitch conditions.

Never forget when we played York city away many yeas ago and they had to stop the match every ten minutes to clear the pitch. Brill except we lost 5-1 feb 27 1993!!!! Scunny crap then crap now. Lol

Its starting up again here, the few cm we've had today that covered everything has frozen now so as soon as something decent comes

it will stick to it straight off. Couldn't have planned it any better really.
