Some strange reports of rain in some parts of Cardiff and Neath etc earlier - and some people in Powys chumping their gums telling Derek to get his passport because nothing?

My missus is working nights 3 miles from me in Blackwood - and she said there is about 2cm and wants to know what all the fuss is. This band seems to be random?

What time diud it hit the valleys? I have to say i was expecting more than a couple of cms this morning

I think it would''ve started in AberG wout 3am? It arrived at 4am up here only a couple of cm so far but if it keeps going all day then it will be deep.

Still heavy sleet/snow here, despite the main band having gone through. The precipitation seems to be getting more intense as it hits land.

Black Rd - Pontypridd has now turned into the NORTH POLE - the polar bears are strutting around as if they own the place - it's freezing cold and the wind is blowing a gale and the snow is blowing around just like a BLIZZARD - a few piccies for you to enjoy!

Just if anybody's thinking of heading that way- M4 blocked in both directions at J36 because of snow!

Thank you for that, was about to leave Newport to work in Bridgend. Was already thinking about not going and that has made my mind up!

I work in Tongwynlais Jay - I can't get in as I am snowbound up here - but would the buses be going down there?

JK

My bus isn't running mate here, i live on a hill and no roads have been gritted here. Just watching the BBC forecast and they had snow over here past 3pm - i can see us getting over a foot if it keeps up especially in the valleys!

Looks like another fairly heavy band of precipitation forming in the SW Approaches right now...

A40 east Pembs only just passable-
