like to see it edge a bit further westwards, the stuff we got is not so great..mind you the second band that's incoming looks interesting...how long is that front going to stall and what will happen to this second front? there could be significant snow fall totals everywhere

Hola HC - I expect this above us now will beef up, stalled as it has, an possibly pivot around - it should stay around and join the other band. 12z is excellent, it has the LP system further north Into Ireland giving bigger snowfalls for Friday, everything moved a bit East too.

Happy Days

Been sleeting here in Litherland for about an hour now which is spot on according to the NW radar, I really hope this doesn't continue when the main band hits tomorrow.

Snowing moderately but not sticking here in liverpool! Perhaps as the temperature drops it will start to.

Where abouts are you Kev?

wow it's gone from one or two isolated falling flakes, to a little more pronounced now. Sticking with ease to anything it falls on smile.png

The main band seems very patchy?

It's not really being influenced by the cold block yet - give it another 8-12 hours and it will be slammed against the cold block, the warm air will be rising rapidly over the cold air and the vapour currently in there will rapidly condense out and fall through the cold air readily turning to snow
