the incoming stuff looks impressive...still wait until later tonight for temps to drop further for better sticking coverage

Very fine snow in Macclesfield - it's been drifting in the air for the past half hour. I just refreshed the BBC weather website and they have gone from no snow at all here, to light snow tomorrow evening.

I find the met office much better and more frequently updated.

Continental type snow seems to be what we are all seeing then from the sounds of things, icy snow that blows around like sand because there is not enough moisture for it to stick.

IMO forget the BBC - they use the same data as the METO but it is almost always presented differently due to editorial and political agendas at the BBC!!

Snowing at Liverpool Airport anid giving slight cover to soil and car roof! What a surprise! Don't know if it is going to stick but still lovely to see in the lamplight.

Thanks - I've come to the conclusion that the BBC forecasts are pretty rubbish really - they don't like to stick their necks out lol

Still fine snow here, but more of it. The wind has picked up... the lamp post is wobbling!!!!

Snowing in Bacup and sticking well, snow flakes increasing all the time. Looking at the radar this is building out of nowhere - fantastic.

Still moderate snow here but proper flakes now instead of pellets. This is a huge bonus if we get some tomorrow too :)

Looks good - Helm Crag Greenburn today smile.png

I mean the hills on this side. Drove over to Kendal on Monday, nothing here, 4 inches of fresh on the Kirkstone, 2 inches right down Windermere/ Kendal way. Same thing happened in December and last Feb! Gutted.

are there any more updates from the meto tongight...id love to hear what they think of the new output and more importantly what the experience tells them...I mean they have all the data and the front is right there on the radar, they must have a pretty good idea what its going to do.....
