Great to see Stourbridge getting some of the best of it right now. Well deserved I say. Pictures tomorrow please!

Will pop some pics of 'home' on tomorrow for you

Meanwhile, 6c here and Dewpoint of 5c in Falmouth with rain and strong winds.

I hope people enjoy these updates from such warmer climes. Hehe. :D

I love the snow, but also love the sea, and at least the sea is always there!! :-)

Snow coming down steadily here now surprisingly, managed just to stay on the edge of this weather front when it stalled luckily

No break now, this current snow will keep om going until the main band gets here. Thats about 3am, then its up to 18hrs of snowfall. I would have though that 20 cm has to be a possibility

Have you spent the last 12 months slowly re-building Telford 20 miles to the east or something? Brick by brick while everyone's sleeping so they don't notice!

According to lots of people in other threads and model discussion the band just making landfall isn't the big one, that's not hit the radar yet, but you can see it on sat24.com images

Oh, well its a hell of a band the main part of that band is now covering most of Ireland & intensifying nicely :)

If there's more after, bring it on :)

A lot of southwards movement?

Do you think so? Looks like its curling round and up, exactly as forecast, but I'm rubbish with this stuff to be honest, just an excited amateur!

Still snowing only around 1cm, but if this is the taster before the main course its okay, and can hear wind, normally windy weather is mild!

Here's my amateur prediction. Over 10cm likely for much of the region, 15-20cm in parts, especially on high ground in the far west and south. Good luck!

thanks for that! Can see you know your geography and where there is high ground! lets hope your correct and good luck to you my friend

But it def looks like the band that's been around us for a while has stalled, it's hardly budged in the last hour or so, it's given us a nice light covering now, including on my road, though I imagine the main roads as completely clear, it's surely setting us up nicely for what's to come later though? How am I going to sleep tonight???

Looks like it's merging to become one big band to me

And it will intensify as it reaches the cold air :)
