Ian Ferguson on Points West said the midland areas would do well tomorrow, especially in the afternoon, but just have to see on the day as it seems forecasting is difficult right now.

BBC Oxford said upto 15cm but did not say exactly where though.

Its a developing situation imo the low that develops over Ireland is gonna be a nightmare to forecast. The strength of that will determine the strength of any precip and its placement. The meto have highlighted the most likely areas but decent falls elsewhere is far from impossible.

Folks, from my experience and Im 44 !...that there will always be surprise snowfall which are not really forecastable in this situation! The snow tomorrow continues to get upgraded and expect some more upgrades by morning. As for the rest of next week, remaining bitterly cold with more snowfall. I imagine some people will be sick and tired of the wintry conditions by this time next week!!sorry.gifclapping.giffool.gifcray.gifsearch.gifacute.gifhelp.gifdiablo.gifnea.gif

Yes a lot will be (non weather ppl) but I certainly will not be

Second front (over the Irish sea) appears to be catching up with this slow moving front over us:-

Regards,

Mike.

Was just going to post the same

The front over us at the minute is slowly pivoting whilst the one out to sea is slowly intensifying (visibly brighter colours as it hits land)

Getting heavier here but still only a light covering. As others have said blowing around too much to accumulate much.

As this rate the main band will be here before this one stops

bbc was showing that, the 2 bands merging, thats why bbc give me constant snow from 6pm to 6am saturday

Snow still coming down here, light but consistent.

Most surfaces with a light covering now, could have a couple of cm from this alone.

Lets hope for the best tomorrow morning, tbh if we get a 10cm + snow event that stays around and gets topped up, for a week or so, that would do me for this winter, then spring can hurry up and arrive blum.gif

It's quite a sight to see the band of snow tomorrow skirt around Stafford and wrap itself around to reach up to Stoke.

Still falling here a light dusting which should provide a nice base layer when the main event comes!
