I know I'm a miserable git, but... seriously, I've got reason today! The current radar is just about THE most annoying, frustrating situation POSSIBLE for someone in Durham. I just have this feeling that when it does veer Ely we'll be left with sweet FA.

Basically, we're this close to 15cms... but will end up with nothing... just GALLING.

So what to do tonight?

Torture myself by watching on fleeting glimpses of snow

or listen to the boro game

or do both and lose the will to live by half time!

Back on again moderate snow

It was bad enough in High Heaton at times before I left, I can only imagine what it must be like at the coast under persistent snow!

wow that radar is a massive kick in the teeth for anyone south of newcastle and its environs. I cant see the south of the region getting anything of note, oh well theres always tommorrow, or should that be jam tommorrow

North northumberland could get nov 2010 levels here, seriously they are gonna get buried

Seems to be some sort of streamer setting up firing snow into northumberlabnd

I can confirm with NL that conditions are pretty bad - grainy images do not do this situation justice at all Peter.... There's plenty more to come!!!

This is the last time I EVER get excited when there is a S'ly element to an E'ly flow. I'd rather not know. This is torture.

Get a grip will you the roads are atrocious so unless you hill folk have no common sense then yes it would be of concern....Jesus some people honestly you live up a hill and think you can handle everything... We don't all have 4x4s and everything in one little village...still think your posts are funny though lol

Only a matter of time before Durham gets it, 7pm at the latest I reckon.

Newcastle/Morpeth/Ashington/North Shields/South Shields area is in for a very interesting next hour or two.

Interest starting to flow south into Gateshead/Sunderland locale afterwards.

I just can't see it. I can't see the flow shifting enough.. and when it does we'll have missed out on a huge event of about 4-6". Absolutely as fooked off as I could be.
