Heaviest snow I have seen in my life. No joke. Couldn't see a thing.

I went for a 20 minute walk at 1pm ish in my lunch break, what a mistake - got caught at the furthest point!

Seriously, when is this going to start turning more E'ly??

The problem is we need it to veer quite a lot to benefit, and I can't see that happening for many frustrating hours.

If you believe the met local postcode forecast which has been spot on for here today so far then the snow will get as far inland as hexham after dark.

Hi All,

Don't often post on here but today's events so far are a let down.

Nothing passing here in middlesbrough/stockton wrong wind direction.

Seem like i got caught up in all the hype so explains the let downs lol.

He's hoping to a wind direction change.

How much did you get from that shower this afternoon?

Heavy snow starting again, not as heavy as earlier yet.

Probably a couple centimetres, i'm terrible at judging depths haha its easier to look at a surface which wasn't covered before such as my car, than looking at the original snow cover although probably more has laid on the original snow cover.

Looking at the radar the main band of snow which has affected the south is still moving north the leading edge is near Bradford now
