WHen are the winds due to veer more E'ly? soon?

As i said above the frontal snow is grinding to a halt and will start slipping south east then the Lp will start to pivot drawing the winds from the east bringing showers/prolonged snow further inland

I'm downgrading my hopes. If there's any S'ly element, we just don't get the goods here in Durham. The NYM simply dry up all the ppn. Hate to say it, but we're in the worst place when there's a S'ly element. Galling when so much is being produced out there.

Yep. It's galling. The layout of the land really couldn't be designed any worse from our pov.

Its not mine its via the wunderground website

0.6°C now

The amount of people panic buying in our Sainsburys is ridiculous you'd think we were in for a tone of snow

Look at the radar folks, there is a large area of showers approacing from the s/e,all the way from the N Yorks coast upto Tyneside.

ETA 1445 here in Jarrow.

It won't last - it's breaking up again. THe stuff that isn't passing over land will hit Sunderland intact soon though.
