Stuck in heavy traffic near the town moor, seems much less fresh stuff over here.

Around 40 minutes and counting of light snow here now starting to lay at the side of the road

NAE now picking up on the next band of snow moving into the SE on Sunday before it heads north

Urgh so negative, it will hit us.

Maybe... but thinking "it'll be an E'ly tomorrow" doesn't help an awful lot when 1 mile north of you (OK I exaggerate, but you get the point) they're getting an additional 12-18 hours of snow.cray.gif

Fairly light snow steadily throughout the day here, with the odd heavy burst. Was a good one at around 3.30 which covered the entire garden, all the bits that were melted were recovered, so hopefully it's laid a good foundation for the heavier snow showers tonight to give a good inch or so at least on top of what's already on the grass/garden wall. Very light snow now. Bit worried whether I'm far enough north though.

Northumberland and the south seem to be getting all the good stuff today.

Just returned from my mams house and heard warnings from what I assume to be the authorities asking people to stay indoors and not to venture out.!! First time Ive ever heard owt like that, anyways the snow is coming down in bucket loads here right now and looks to be set in for at least a couple of hours.
