Today may not be an ideal day to have the windows replaced...

Oh I don't know, could be quite a picture Sis!

I'm currently in Basildon and light flakes have been falling since around 0830 although radar suggests the band is still a good distance away.

Looking good for later!

PERFECT Temperature here, it's bang on 0.0 degree's :-)

dew point - 1.3 ...it's creeping slowly up from -1.7 earlier...hoping it'll stay the right side of 0.0

snow is already beginning to blow around in the wind (drifting ??)

hard to tell the size of the flakes because of the strength of the wind, but they still look quite small

time to start work....have a great day everyone, and enjoy the snow !!

What a GREAT start to 2013 ...for snow and to think we still have 6 weeks of winter still to come :-)

Well the next hour or so should be crunch time for us in East Kent. If the front can just push a little further we will be in the snow zone when it stalls. If the forecasts are correct it should just about get to Ashford before slipping away and fragmenting but as we all know, 50 miles either way can make all the difference!

Sunday will hopefully be our compensation but just you watch that head off through Belgium! lol

Getting better, small flakes but it's pepping up now, wind has picked up and it feels bitter.

Count me in for the cup if its possible. If not don't worry. Definitely looks like the front has stalled over Sussex.

Dam I missed the draw , Sutton Surrey can do well , feb 09 got 10 inches the most ever for snowfall in london for me , even beat 1987/ 91 depths

Its ok you're in southbank. Full draw coming in about 10/15 minutes. First goals (1 cm) appearing in SW of our region about now no doubt.

Regards,

Tom

Just watched one final BBC weather forecast before work, I think she mentioned the word "snow" about 100 times ...ha ha ha
