I'm going to go out on a limb and call Medway as done. We ramped. The charts supported but it is a non event. I was 50 miles away in east grinstead this morning and had 2 inches in 90 mins so work sent us home the line was razor thin.

Sunday will flop too I reckon.

Must confess - think we had more in the City, and I swear I can see hints of blue sky trying to peep through. Not exactly a snow fest here.

Just done the first tape measure check... a disappointing 1.5cm. Clearly, the NMM has won for snow predictions for Meopham. GFS had me down for 8cm, NAE for 7cm, NMM for 2.5cm.

On the plus point, should get another cm or so overnight and then it's all to play for on Sunday...

BBC Weather, state it is weakening,

I can't see where the snow through the night is coming from here, massive gaps appearing and nothing in behind it now.

Following on from Chiono's rating.

I would give it a -10/10 here in SE Essex.

Seen about 10 small flakes all day.

And yet the NAE is still going for 8mm in SE Essex by Midday tomorrow. God knows what it is seeing. Can it really be that wrong?

What's it got for se Essex mate?

To all those without snow, to be fair, you guys have the lions share with easterlies and north easterlies. Have woken up on numerous times to a dusting when you guys are shovelling your way out of a good dumping.

Absolutely fair point. I've done well in recent years. Disappointed about today, earlier in the week but hey-ho.

Totally amazing, really heavy again here, for once in my life I seem to be just in the right place.

Ok, gonna find a positive.

Since its so slow to get here, lets pretend for a moment that it does, eventuallly, this evening.

Then it just stays put against the block.

And snows all night long.

Good to see you've been taking your positive tablets AF!

Afternoon All-

We are in the LULL where the front fizzles out-

There will then be pockets of rebuild - possibly from the south-

then at t24 t30 the onshore winds become Easterly again with snow showers developing-

Then the POSSIBLE snow from teh south at 54-60

So for kent- & in particular mid to SE london / NW kent-

its been a glass half full or empty day-

3cm here & light snow - but the key it isnt melting with more flurries to come.

its been a fun but slightly frustrating day here & im sure very frustrating further east-

however those with +5cm -enjoy the fun....

What a superb day! Forecasts spot on, about 12cm here and still a bit of light snow coming down. fantastic! Even though it's cost me about £6k for some snow lol
