Back to snizzle here in Bewdley -- I'd guess 1-2cm extra for the whole event. Temp +0.1 °C. To think, a few years ago this would have counted as a decent snowfall on its own!

Look at the radar. that band is not going anywhere fast and it keeps intensifying randomly in selected spots. Birmingham has been hit like a bullseye!

Light snow most of day here too, but accumulation tempered by mild thaw. Temp now dropped back to zero, so hoping snow continues a while yet.

The band over the Midlands seems to be weakening though. We're back to that heavyish snizzle.

Went out to measure..total of 15cm accumulation here now.

Eastern side of Coventry the snow has got heavier again............radar looks promising for a few more hours.................is it me or is this system moving more westerly than northerly? If so the snow that is just hitting East Anglia is heading our way........could be very interesting!

I'm interested in the Wash area, the main band has just hit there and there seems to be the beginnings of stuff developing there that could help us later on?

next weekend potentially looks interesting with some VERY high ppn rates.

That would be the icing on the cake before the milder air wins - big feasty atlantic breakdown rofl.gif

Does look like the snow already on the ground will stay for most of next week, no thaw at all here since Friday.
