have a look and see what a red represents, wer'e just talking a bit of snow here not loss of life.

Red dosent necessarily mean loss of life wales had a red the other day, it more means extreme trabel disruption etc

Just FYI, this is the 'high impact' (or red alert) description for snow:

Widespread deep snow with many roads closed or impassable.

Roads likely to become impassable with high risk of drivers becoming stranded.

Significant disruption to road, rail and air transport.

Risk to personal safety.

Expect significant disruption to normal day to day life as a result of transport issues, school closures etc.

Avoid making unnecessary journeys.

There's possibly a case for bits of Northumberland into the Borders and also Perthshire to fall under this category based on the current forecast.

I can report now that's its just snow falling here, i wouldn't mind the wind calming down a touch though, its preventing any top up.

When is the main band due to hit our area?

I'm giving this 30 minutes more then I'm off to bed and will await the morning scene with trepidation!

This is looking epic for all of us.

I'm so going to regret saying that in the morning aren't I?

That's it... you just go ahead and put the mockers on it! LMAO
