Hmmm.

Just been outside, the car has a fresh layer on it but I have to say the new covering of snow is wet.

For the first time tonight, we have proper snow falling, well decent size snowflakes anyway, i just hope things have turned less marginal now and can get a decent top up.

Still snowing moderately, some accumulation but hard to tell how much. Could do with bigger flakes and the wind to drop for a while.

Snowing finally here. Certainly nothing to write home about though.

That's the big band through Darlington already, not a massive amount down on the ground really. Still coming down moderately now, but seems a little wet when looking out the window.

Same story in Darlo really. Seemed to lay well at first, but it's fast melted and not really left a great deal.

The radar is looking rather disappointing too - the snow seems to be fizzling out! Anyway, back to bed for a couple of hours.

The north west seems to have as much as the northeast without the thawing problems, loads of snow on Lancashire coast poor forecasting by Meto that.

Only 3cms here due to Pennines snow shadow but at least it's dry snow high ground in cumbria reporting depths over 10cms.

Moderate/heavy snow here at the moment, with fresh gusty winds.

Not sure how much has fallen but i'm sure the roads will be horrendous due to drifting.
